VanQ at BCIT

Tommorow is Thrusday. That means that it is my Friday, as it is my last day of school in a week. It also means that I have Software Quality Assurance class. But not tommorrow. Since our instructor is busy with potential addition to his family, we were sent to a presentation at BCIT. I don't mind the presentation, I think it's going to be a nice change from the classroom, but I have no idea how to get there. I haven't been to BCIT yet. I am hoping I can talk my girlfriend into comming as she thinks she knows where that is.
I am also curious how many other Kwantlen students will show up. I don't expect even half of them to show up.

Shelly

I showed my Blog to Shelly. After she read all the enteries she complained that in none of the enteries was a mention of her name. To do her justice I dedicate today's post to her, but for some reason I have doubts she has remembered how to get to this blog. So ... Shelly if you can read this please leave me a comment.

Richmond

On Mondays I have a class in Richmond. Last couple of Mondays I didn't have to go to Richmond since the school strated on Tuesday and the following Monday there was strike. Therefore this was my first Monday class in Richomond. The class I am taking in Richmond is Bussiness Ethics, it's a philosophy class. This was my first time going to Richmond from White Rock. I was a little worried that I would get lost somewhere, but I got there just fine. It's a good thing there are those large information boards telling you about every exit. I was thinking about going through Surrey, but heard on the radio that some streets are flooded. It was really comming down last night, and it was windy too, I could feel the gusts rocking my car.

HTML

Last weekend I have learned some HTML. I have been putting of looking into HTML because I feared it would be too complex. I was very suprised when I have designed a simple page in just an hour. The page can been seen at http://www3.telus.net/shelly37/public

Snow

The snow is here! But where was it, on X-mas day? It would be nice to have white X-mas this year. As for my cold, I didn't go to school yesterday, and stayed inside for the most of the day today. I feel much better now, and I think I would be back to my regular self tomorrow.

I still have to pick up the Distributed Systems book from Coquitlam, I hope I can get it tommorrow.

I have a cold

This is the first day in the new year where I am sick. I have a cold. I am sneasing, my nose is runny, but at least my throat doesn't hurt like before. I will still be attending the class tonight, hopping not to pass my cold to anybody else.

When I tried to get my books yesterday, there was the longest line I have seen in Kwantlen, it was all the way to the pond. I quickly decided to skip the opportunity to get used books if it meant to wait for an hour in a line. I hope to pick up the Distributed System textbook this weekend in Half Price Computer Books store in Coquitlam.

First Day of School

Well, the first day of school is here. I still can't figure out why school didn't start yesterday, but I am glad as I have a class in Richmond on Mondays. I am planning to stop by Kwantlen's bookstore early today and pick up a used texbook for the class tonight. If they won't have any used ones, I will get it later from Half Price Computer Books. That's should teach them a lesson about trying to run a book monopoly.

Day Off

It is the day before the spring semester starts. I have finished reading "Buying a Computer for Dummies" this morning. Not that I plan to buy a deskop computer anytime soon, but the purchase of a laptop has occured to me more than once. I still have to do more detailed research on what's the best option for me out there and reevalute wheather I even need a laptop.
